HOW TO READ GRAPHS?
If you are going to take an English exam soon, it is important that you know how to read graphs.
Follow these steps:
- Read the title with your own words
- Explain how is divided the axes
- Identify the sharpest and deep changes
- Interpretation
Do it fast, you only have between 45 to 60 seconds to say all these steps.
Types of graphs
- Pie Chart
- Bar Graph
- Line graph
These are some graphs that could appears in your bulats test.
Be prepare
I will leave you a list of verbs that can help you read the different variations:
Increase

- Climb
- Grow
- Rocket

Decrease
- Fall to / Fell from… to…
- Drop by
- Reduce at / reduced by

Constant trends
- Level off
- Remain constant
- Remain consistent
- Remain steadily
Tips:
⭐ Try to use different verbs when you were describing that will give you a lot of points
⭐ Do not read all the points of the graph only the most relevant
You can increase points if you use adjetives and adverbs
Adjective/Noun
A significant rise (Adjetive is before the noun)
Verb/ adverb
Rose significantly (Adverd is after the verb)
If you follow all these tips you will pass with a B2
